Salmon Head Sinigang is one of my favorite fish soup. Easy tasty recipe

Season with salt and pepper and let it come to a boil. Once boiling, add the lady fingers (okra), tamarind mix and fish sauce and simmer for another minute. Finally, add in the kangkong leaves, cover and turn off the heat. Let the remaining cook the kangkong leaves. Transfer the sinigang na salmon into a serving bowl.

Pour the patis (fish sauce). Add the salmon fillets to the inside pot with the sauteed ingredients. Sear the salmon for 2 to 3 minutes. Hit Cancel. Pour the tamarind concentrate, and the stock. In a large stockpot, over medium high heat, combine the water or rice wash ('hugas bigas'), vegetable broth, lemon or calamansi juice, onions, tomatoes and tamarind concentrate. Bring this mixture to a boil then lower heat to a slow simmer for about 15 minutes. Add the salmon and patis (fish sauce).

Set cut salmon aside. Step 2. Prep the onions, ginger and garlic. Step 3: Saute onion, garlic, and ginger for 2 minutes. Step 4: Add broth, tamarind, fish sauce, eggplant and serrano chili to the pot. Bring to a low gentle boil for 10 minutes, or until eggplant is tender.

Salmon - use salmon belly, salmon head, fillet or even salmon trimmings. Other souring agents (pangpa-asim) that can be used: calamansi, kamias, batwan, fresh tamarind. Using fresh tamarind - wash unripe tamarind and place in a pot. Pour 1 cup water boil until soft and the skin begins to separate. Mash with a fork.

Step 3: Add taro, string beans, & chilies (if using) and cook for about 5 minutes, or until slightly tender. Season with fish sauce or salt, if necessary. Add the sitaw and kangkong, then let it cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Preparation. Add the water to a large pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the onion and tomatoes. Cover and cook until softened, 20 minutes. Add the salmon steaks, cover again, and cook for 8 minutes, until the fish is starting to flake (or 5 minutes, if using fillets). Add the serrano peppers and tamarind soup mix and bring to a boil.
