For a Halloween party we made a Bob Ross and his "Happy Tree" couple costume. For Bob Ross we used a wig, attachable beard, and a paint palette from the Dollar Store. The tree was created from a dress that was hot glued with over 150 fall leaves. A nest with birds was put in my hair to finish it off!

For my tree costume, I cut leaf-shaped pieces out of some green and brown felt and hand-sewed two or three of them together at a time to create various textures. I then sewed the "bunches" of leaves onto the sleeves and other parts of my thrifted shirt. I decided to line the collar with single cut-outs, as well.

The main thing that you need is the wig and the beard. They are what gives Bob Ross his very distinct look. I purchased this wig off of Amazon. Note: one or the other of us has been Bob Ross at work for four years running now, so the wig has seen better days. It kind of makes it funnier to me!
