Each early May Bank Bank Holiday weekend the Bolster Festival Pageant takes place in St Agnes. It tells the tale of the Giant Bolster (one of many Cornish Giants) who ravaged the area and terrified the locals. The story goes like thisโ€ฆ. St Agnes pub the Driftwood Spars will be celebrating the local legend, Giant Bolster, with a sausage and ale festival over May Bank Holiday weekend. The festival will run between Friday, April 30 and Monday, May 3 to coincide with the village's annual Bolster Day celebrations. The Giant Bolster was said to be able to step from St Agnes Beacon.
