Based upon a Latin-oriented instrumental "Yeh-Yeh!", first recorded on Mongo Santamaria - Watermelon Man! and written by R. Grant and P. Patrick - which perhaps explains the 'Mongo' publisher credit on early issues of Fame's "Yeh, Yeh". Subsequent lyrics by J. Hendricks then resulted in this A-side arrangement of the work by Fame and his group.
