Cooking the meat: Remove the casings from the chorizo sausage, and begin cooking both sausage and the ground turkey, until they are not longer pink. Then transfer the meat using a slotted spoon to a plate and set aside. Then add the onions, and sauté for about 4 minutes, then add garlic, and coloured pepper, and sauté for about 1 minute.

Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and chorizo; cook and stir until crumbly and beginning to brown, about 5 minutes. Stir in onion, celery, and jalapeno; continue to cook and stir until meat is browned and onion is translucent, about 5 minutes more. It is coming in to that time of year, my favorite time of year. During the Fall casseroles, soups, and warming food make us happy. Well I love making different versions of chili, so I created this Turkey Chorizo Mexican Chili. I saw some chorizo flavored ground turkey and thought I bet that would be good in chili, and it was!

Saute garlic in the pan until browned, about 1 minute. Add turkey; saute until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the liquid from the pan and add to the slow cooker. Turn the slow cooker to Low and cook, stirring once every hour, until reduced, about 6 hours. Serve with a spoonful of sour cream and shredded Cheddar on top of each bowl.

Instructions. Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat, spray with oil and cook the meat, breaking it up in small pieces. Season with vinegar and spices and cook until browned and no longer pink in the middle, 10 minutes. Serve with eggs, breakfast bowls, tacos, burritos and more!

(you are layering the flavor) Next add the tomatoes, individually crush them as you add them to the pot. Add the beans and the broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer 10-15 minutes.

In a large pot heat the olive oil on medium for 2 minutes then add in the onions, garlic, jalapeño and a pinch of salt. Cook on medium for 5 minutes.
