The Wave is located about 1 hour's drive from the town of Page, AZ, which is ~a 4.5 hour drive from Scottsdale. Since the hike is essentially an all-day affair, you should stay overnight in Page, AZ, or Kanab, UT the night prior to your hike (these are the nearest towns with hotels). Hope that helps!
