SUNY Morrisville receives grant for food pantry refrigeration unit
A report from the Center of Law and Social Policy shows between 20 to 33 percent of four-year college students were food insecure in 2017. Among firstgeneration college students, 56 percent qualified as food insecure. Much of the pantry's support comes from Kent State Community Engaged Learning, which recently launched Flashes Fighting Hunger.

The Campus Kitchen Pantry currently hosts two food pantries weekly, on the second floor in Beall and McDowell Halls. The pantries are open Mondays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Though these pantries are open to faculty, students, staff and community members, they are in a set location at a set time.
