Assassin Tombs. To unlock the "Armor of Altair" set in the Sanctuary inside the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni, you must collect six seals from the tombs of assassins long past. There are six such tombs in Assassin's Creed II. The first tomb you will visit is under the Santa Maria Novella during Sequence 4 as part of the main story.

The Villa Auditore was a familial home and stronghold of the Auditore family, located within the city of Monteriggioni. Purchased by the family sometime after 1321, it remained the home to the Auditore up until the turn of the 16th century, when it was heavily damaged during the siege of Monteriggioni. The villa was constructed in 1290.

The essential structure of the Villa Auditore is almost identical to the one in Maiano. Although the Villa Auditore is virtual, it appears bigger in scale than the Villa di Maiano. There are also many other minor differences, but what is also important to note is that the Villa Auditore is set in Monteriggioni whereas the Villa di Maiano is.

The Siege of Monteriggioni was the decisive confrontation between the Borgia army, under the command of Cesare Borgia, and the Auditore mercenaries, led by Mario Auditore. The retaliatory siege took place on 2 January 1500, a few days after a prior confrontation in Rome between Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Cesare's father, Pope Alexander VI, during which the former discovered the Vatican Vault.
