Having spent most of my youth in the Florida keys, where crystal clear waters on a desolate beach were the norm, Cala Mariolu was a treat nonetheless. While not exactly desolate, a universe away from the likes of the Jersey shore or eastern Long Island. Its best accessed by boat, the sheer cliffs and boulders on the beach add a beautiful backdrop.
