The Albaicín ( Spanish pronunciation: [alβajˈθin] ), also known as Albayzín (from Arabic: ٱلْبَيّازِينْ, romanized : al-Bayyāzīn ), is a district of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is centered around a hill on the north side of the Darro River which passes through the city.
