As of May 2020, the route has been amended. Please stay within the bounds of Devonian Regional Park and do not walk along the beach path. The beach outside the park that is above the high-water mark is private property and unfortunately, the public is not welcome. The beach within the park is lovely and the trails are well-maintained. The trail can get muddy at high tide.

Devonian Regional Park can be reached from downtown Victoria by bus and the trip takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on the bus transfers. The bus stop is located only a few hundred meters from the parking lot for the park where the trails begin. From downtown Victoria, take Bus #61: Sooke from one of the stops along Douglas.
