You need two things to travel on the Glacier Express: (1) A seat reservation which secures your place on the train and (2) any sort of ticket for the class you've reserved. The ticket can be a regular point-to-point train ticket or it can be a Saver Day Pass, Swiss Travel Pass or Interrail or Eurail pass.

Therefore the Glacier Express is the only DIRECT train in either direction between Zermatt/Visp/Brig and Chur/Davos/St Moritz. The longest journey possible on the Glacier Express is that between St Moritz and Zermatt, which takes around 8hrs and 10 mins; it's not a fast train (speed isn't the point of making a journey).
