The Swarm was the world's second Wing Coaster model designed by Swiss roller coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard and the first one located in the United Kingdom. Brave it backwards! Whilst the new billboard slightly augments the experience, a major modification to the ride's trains completely mutates The Swarm for 2013. Thorpe Park has reversed the last two rows on each of The Swarm's trains, such that riders in Rows 6 and 7 can now brave the experience facing backwards.

Second strongest of the Thorpe park coasted (Behind Stealth) for me. The Swarm is a great coaster, with brilliant moments of hangtime, strong inversions, potentially the best theming I've ever seen on a coaster and a butter smooth ride. Favourite part of the ride for me was final inversion over the queue line, which provided great hangtime.
