Neben der Berliner Anlage gibt es noch ein weiteres UNESCO-Welterbe, das Architekturfans unter dem Namen „Weiße Stadt" kennen. Es ist das Zentrum des erst 1909 gegründeten Tel Aviv. Über 4.000 Gebäude der israelischen Metropole wurden in den 1930er-Jahren im sogenannten International Style errichtet.

It was designed and built in the late 1920s by the architects Otto Rudolf Salvisberg, Bruno Ahrends and Wilhelm Büning. It is seen as an icon of early 20th-century estate construction.

Die Weiße Stadt ist eine Großsiedlung mit offener Binnenstruktur aus Rand- und Zeilenbauten und ineinander fließenden Grünräumen. Beim Bau dominierten Rationalität und Wirtschaftlichkeit. Auf der Basis von Rentabilitätsberechnungen dimensionierte man die Erschließung, aber auch die Gebäudemaße. So konnten Bauteile teilweise vorgefertigt werden.
