[Review] The Moody Blues In Search of the Lost Chord (1968) Progrography

The Moody Blues were at their best in the studio, and never more so than on `Lost Chord'. There cannot be many introductions as eerie and mysterious as Graeme Edge's softly spoken piece outlining the plot of the album, that of finding a chord heard once, that, apparently, holds the key to a mysterious enlightenment.

THE ROSE COLORED CORNER THE MOODY BLUES IN SEARCH OF THE LOST CHORD

This and To Our Children's, Children's Children are probably my favorite overall Moody Blues albums (although that could change depending on the day). I love the original UK pressing and the MOFI is easy on the ears, which I like. This pressing is nice and if you want one that is not beat up and plays well I would pick this up.

The Moody Blues In Search Of The Lost Chord 180 Gram, 50th Anniversary

In Search of the Lost Chord is a deeply philosophical album by The Moody Blues, built around the concepts of quest and discovery. Musically, the album builds on the rich arrangements of Days of Future Passed with the exception being the lack of use of a full orchestra.
