Jun 2016 • Couples. Allow plenty of time to explore this national park with its lakes and granite boulders. Easy walking - but isolated - so take water and food supplies as needed. Allow at least one full day and more if you have time - best for 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Red sandplains and mulga scrubs beside long, dusty roads give little hint to the lakes, rivers and wetlands that make Currawinya one of Australia's most important inland waterbird habitats.
There are a few different camping areas at Currawinya National Park in the Queensland Outback
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night. $3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions. FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.
